What is a Citation?
To "cite" is to point to evidence, authority or proof. When we use the term cite we refer to the way that you note the source of your information in the body of your text.
Sources of Information:
Sources of information can be classified into two broad types, printed and electronic. Some examples of printed and electronic sources of information are indicated below:
Printed Sources

• Journal articles
• Conference Papers
• Standards
• Patents
• Reports
• Government Publications
• Unpublished material
